Info
My name is Robert Mleczko. I am a visual artist, lighting designer, and Director of Photography (DoP) based in Poland. I am known for my extensive collaborations with leading theater and film directors, including Michał Borczuch, Krzysztof Garbaczewski, Grzegorz Jarzyna, and Monika Strzępka. My international portfolio features acclaimed projects with New York City’s iconic La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club and The Wooster Group.
As a cinematographer for both fiction and documentary films, my work has been showcased at prestigious Polish and international festivals. Notable screenings include the 61st Berlinale (Auf der Suche), the 13th New Horizons (Utopians), the 16th Sofia International Film Festival, Doclisboa ’18 (Komodo Dragons), and multiple editions of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia (Office of the Monument Construction, It's Me Now, Non Sono Pronto).
Alongside my artistic work, I co-founded the Experimental Film Workshop with Dr. Hubert Czerepok at the Academy of Art in Szczecin, where I have also run the Immersive Film and VR Experience Studies since 2018. Furthering my impact as an academic pioneer, I am currently establishing Poland's very first Lighting Design Studio at the Faculty of Stage Design.
